2025 – Hadley's Cell
Water is the connection between body, earth, and wind. The ringed vessel is inspired by the angles of the winds of Hadley’s cell, an atmospheric phenomenon that marks the beginning of the trade winds that propel ocean surface currents throughout the world. The heart is the centre of our circulation, moving blood and water that gives life. This heart holds water and can be used as a vessel to drink out of. The orchid pot supports the plant, but its holes allow the roots to move beyond the confines of the vessel to seek water and light for life.
